Blondie were huge in the 1970s being a sort of bridge between Punk and new wave pop. However they for reasons best known only to themselves they chose to break up and sort of fell off the map for many years, before returning to form with the classic “Maria” in 1999. Debbie Harry still looked pretty good in this video too.

You know that your band is old when a song which was considered your comeback to musical prominence is now posted on YouTube, and referred to as a golden oldie. I’m old enough to remember BOTH times that Blondie had hits, and I still love this song, but goddamn does it make me feel old!
