“One Day More” is one of the most famous and iconic songs of the musical Les Miserables. Performed as the final song of Act I Its notability does not only arise from appearing in a key part of the performance, but also as it is a choral piece featuring several showcasing solos from the main (surviving) characters (some have died already by this time in the story).
The video clip below is from the Iconic 10th Anniversary performance and it is hard to choose who stands out most as all perform with aplomb. The main singers are Colm Wilkinson, Michael Ball, Judy Kuhn, Lea Salonga, Michael Maguire, Philip Quast, Jenny Galloway, Alun Armstrong, Adam Searles. Enjoy.
Lea is the best Eponine!….
Javert’s expression in this reminds me of Severus Snape right before he gives a detentions. -shivers-
Quast – Best Javert Ever!!
Did you know that Michael Macguire (Enjorlas) was 40 years old, when he did this concert? 40?!? I hope i look like that, when i turn 40!!!
“One more day till we discover what god in heaven has in stall”
Whenever I hear that bit I always say to myself, Ill save you the trouble, you all die!
Colm Wilkinson is the Best Jean Valjean EVER! Amazing technique and vocals! He has played this role many times and it is breathless everytime I see one!
I think both Michael Maguire and David Thaxton are my favorite Enjolras
by far the best version….
For some reason I don’t like valjeans voice in this. I mean I don’t really like this guy as valjean.
One of the best casts ever! The just gets me in the gut everytime…
