The Final scene to Les Miserables is a fitting epilogue to this brilliant Musical and to date none has been performed better than in the 10th Anniversary performance.
@mdude009 OMG lol I got givin this concert for my 7th birthday and nearly 18 yrs later I still love this verson more than any other i have found.My mission now is to find it on dvd cause alas my only copy is on vhs!! The ten yr concert has so much emotion,Which i think may have been lost when they sped up the music in the 25th concert.
Who would have thought one of the best (and my personal favourite) musical’s in English history would have been written by England’s historical enemy, the French :L
@artsmartbeup Well, to be fair, Nick didn’t ruin it. There were too many other great cast members for it to be ruined. He just didn’t add anything to it. Bless his heart.
Ruthie did a fantastic entrance,looking at Colm a few seconds before she started singing.plus her wonderful voice is very fit for the role…I love Ruthie as well as I love Lea…
I have watched this show for years more specifically this production i first watched it on VCR and now have the DVD plus several different cast recordings. nothing beats this version.
However i just wanted to point out the video mess up that i only just noticed the other day when Marius and Cosette come forward it shows a shot of them from one day more earlier in the show.
It’s at 3:26. found it rather amusing something must have not worked.

I almost want Javert to come in all whole and at peace and just give Valjean a pat on the back while this song is being sung.

I love this finale. It sort of reminds of the Ave Maria segment in Fantasia because of how peaceful it is in contrast to all the chaos we just saw.
@davidll182
